what should I do tomorrow?
I need some help deciding what to do tomorrow. I was thinking it would be fun to go to the beach, since it's going to be nice and warm, but I'm feeling guilty about not going to lab 2 days last week. The shuttle bus isn't running tomorrow, which I usually take as an indication that it's okay for me to observe the public holiday and stay home, but I really ought to do some work. Plus, I'm not sure I have enough motivation to make it all the way to the beach by myself (the fact that all my housemates are going to work, despite the holiday, is adding to the guilt as well). I could well just end up hanging around at home, wasting time. So, what should I do? Beach? Work? Something else?

Beach! Beach!
Go to the beach and take an article or two you need to read. Then you can pretend to be doing work while you're really just working on your tan.
What's the public holiday for?
I vote for the beach, too.
I'd invite you here to play with TtFTE, but then you'd have to meet my parents. Fun! Not.
I'm with stylegeek. As unfortunate as it might be, it's as important to feel productive as it is to have breaks. And dragging work with you to the beach or going to work for a few hours and then heading out to the beach seems like a good compromise, even if you don't really get anything done. Technicaly you tried! Whatever you do, feel confident in your decision. It will be ok! Have a great day.
I vote beach too, although maybe it's too late for my vote to be counted. If not beach, then maybe work for like half a day? At least that way you can have the morally superior feeling of working when you didn't have too.
sheepish, sadly you're not too late. I was going to go with the beach, since that was the unanimous consensus here, but I still can't figure out where to go...

Hence, I believe my dear pigpuppet, it is your amurcan duty to sit around and contemplate veterans. Now, if you need to do that at the beach, I guess you have to.
Here's my compromise vote: go to a coffee/tea/ice cream shop and work while imbibing cold things. Then, when you need a break, slather on some sunscreen and go to the beach.
So....I'm too late to vote, I think, but what did you end up doing? Beach sounds nice.
