anti-whining friday

The plate-washing robot repairman just came and he not only fixed what was broken, he cleaned all the dust and crap off it and made it run faster. Best of all, he must have given it a software upgrade, because now instead of making me press three buttons to convince it that I'm really sure I want to wash another plate, I only have to press one!

I also finally booked my flights for the conference in Vaguely Ancestral Country in September. I'd been putting it off, because I wasn't sure how much time I could take off after the conference, then when I started panicking about how little time is left before the trip, I had issues with my pathetically tiny credit card limit (apparently aliens can't be trusted). While I was waiting for that to be sorted out, the airfares kept going up and up. But, today, when I finally got tickets, they'd gone back down by $120. Yay!
