new routine(s)

I just signed up for NaBloWriMo at the last minute, but in an attempt to make it more usefully motivating, I've decided posting will be a reward for being productive. I'm hoping that wanting to stick to that commitment to posting every day will make me more inclined to work (I know it's backwards...). To that end, I'm putting a graph for my Joe's Goals score in my sidebar. If I get 15 points in a day, I'm allowed to post. Given that I've set 1 hour of work as being worth 5 points (and I'm also going to count points for things like eating actual food for dinner), it doesn't seem like I'm setting the bar very high for success. On the other hand, 15 points would be a significant improvement over what I have been doing.

I'm also considering joining the Project 365 bandwagon (seen at Lifehacker and Jeremy's (via Eszter, who has already started)). I was going to try to overcome my preference for a non-arbitrary start date and just start posting photos now, but after reading the original post about the project being a way to create a record of a year, I'm back to thinking I might wait until January. I did take my camera with me today, though, so here's a photo from my morning commute that may or may not end up being #1 for the project:

Yeah, 15 points sounds like a good idea. I got about three hours of real work done yesterday, but considering previous work had been none, that's an infinite increase. Right?
I think we must be twins or something; I keep reading entries that I say "yeah. That's what I do to."

Excellent photo!

And speaking of productivity and lack-of-same...I'm still in for our plan, and sorry about not getting back to you earlier...email forthcoming today...
