my day in a picture

For once, a photo that's actually related to my day. This is how I've spent most of the last 2 days (although not slouching quite so low in my seat, usually) with another day to come - starting at frickin' 8am. I actually got there at 8am yesterday, only to discover that that was when breakfast started and I could've slept in another 45 minutes.
Highlight of the day: one of the Big, Famous Guys openly mocking another PI's answer to a question because she referred to a model that used neonatal mice and "they're not even mice, just wriggling, pink... things".
There were a couple of other moments that also had my labmate hoping it was going to turn into the academic version of Jerry Springer, but, sadly, no chairs were thrown.
