random bullets of goodness
- I really like my new hair. I've been ignoring my hair for so long, I didn't realise until I took the before photo yesterday how horrible it looked. I was worried I would regret cutting it, but as soon as the stylist cut off the ponytail, I thought it looked so much better. So thanks to those of you who offered encouragement and advice!
- I cleaned my room on Friday and it's still tidy. It was procrastination-induced cleaning, but I think it was worthwhile for a change.
- I haven't been hiding in my room. On Thursday I got home and discovered one of my housemates was here after all and I felt bad leaving her alone again so I took my laptop into the dining room. I've left it there since, which has meant I have to leave my room (which has probably also contributed to the previous bullet).
- I've been doing a little bit of work. Not enough, of course, but some is better than nothing. I actually did a whole hour of reading before writing this post, instead of letting myself get distracted the first time I didn't want to keep reading.
- I even cooked dinner. Not exactly from scratch, but it did involve the stove and multiple saucepans.

Lucy, these are *awesome* bullets of goodness! I really, really do think that things like hair changes can mark (or presage? Or produce?) big life changes. Maybe you cut off a bunch of anxiety with the ponytail? :)
That's right! The short-haired Lucy cleans stuff and socialises with her housemates, and does work. I'm intimidated by her already.
I love your new hair! Now I'm jealous and need to get mine cut so I can mimic your cuteness. :)
I'm glad you had nice bullets to share - it's a lovely way to end a holiday weekend. I hope your week goes as well.
hooray for your new hair! i love it. and the socializing is good too! yay Lucy!
Well, long-haired Lucy actually started all those things. And socialising is a bit of an exaggeration for sitting at the same table as housemates while we all use our laptops... Still, it's an improvement. I'll see how long I can keep it up.
