This is a great idea, but I say rewards for every five. Magazine subscriptions are cheap. Books are fun. Go to the movies. Buy a new fun smelling shower gel or lip gloss.
Good job with the working out. I've been eating better, but am quite sloth-like when it comes to physical activity.
I tend to reward myself with chocolate for gym visits, which I can report is not a particularly clever thing to do. Go for pampering type things, I say - have a massage.
Luckybuzz, I did just buy a new water bottle, but it was only a $2 one from target :)
B*, it would be nice if we could team up; I'm still eating far too much sugary junk.
My problem with thinking of a reward is that I want it to be something I wouldn't ordinarily buy myself, but I would like enough for it to be motivating. Unfortunately, I tend to just buy anything I really want, anyway. I could restrain myself from buying something until I've got 30 stars, but that's kind of adding another goal. Also, there isn't really that much I actually want. Maybe there are fun things I could do instead?
Oh, Cee, that's a good idea! Thanks. The only problem is I might be shy about it; I've never gotten a massage before.
Oh I can't see the stars : ( Maybe if I take myself into uni where there's a network connection things will improve.
I second Cee's idea and not only as a physical thing. For some reason, in the depths of depression, I decided to get myself an aromatherapy massage as often as I could afford it and it was a great help for releasing years of pent up emotion.
Galaxy, maybe I'm doing something wrong with the stars. I did want them to be closer together, but couldn't figure out how to do that without them having boxes around them. I think I'm definitely leaning towards the massage idea; thanks.
If you've started knitting, I recommend yarn or other supplies. But something fancy. Along the same "treat of the usual," is there some book you've been drooling over that you feel is too expensive for you to actually buy? but that isn't so expensive it'd put you in debt? Although cee's idea is an excellent one.
I reward myself with work-out clothes. (I like running outfits and golfing outfits though I hardly ever golf).
This is problematic because: 1. Women now are encouraged to look pretty while sweating! 2. Conspicuous Consumerism hits the gym
But oh workout clothes are so great these days! They even have sports bras now that don't do the whole uniboob thing. Anyway, work out clothes are an expensive habit so I just say "If I work out for x days a week for 6 weeks then I get one new outfit". Some great websites are: http://www.lifeisgood.com/ http://www.danskin.com/ http://www.shopadidas.com/ http://www.nike.com/nikewomen/us/index.jhtml
Another option might be to have a reward jar and put x amount of money in it each time you work out, and then you can spend that money on whatever you want when you get to 30 workouts (and you are getting close!!!).

Wow, look at all those stars! :)
Hmmm....definitely buy yourself something pretty. I suggest a rhinestone-bedecked water bottle. :)

Keep up the good work, and then you get to buy yourself a panda.

Excellent idea, sheepish! :)

I forgot title nine:

Ceresina, I haven't managed to finish my mittens yet, so more yarn might be a bit guilt-inducing. I did think of a few CDs I'd like, though.
LaKisha, thanks for the links. Those clothes are a lot cuter than my current gym outfits of trackie dacks and free t-shirts, that's for sure!

Oh, I like that idea, too. Thanks, Shrinky!
