new phone
The screen of my old phone and the insides looked all dry this morning so I tried turning it back on. The screen was all lit up and ripply, just like when I first fished it out of the washing machine, except that it was also flashing, so I gave up on it. The new phone is a lot fancier than the old one, but I can't see who's calling or if I have any messages or even the time from the outside, which is annoying. It only has four ringtones, all of them annoying, in a blatant ploy to get me to pay extra for one. The salesperson also tried to sell me a warranty that cost 3/4 the price of the phone.
There was another person in there setting up a new phone account while I was waiting and it was amusing hearing her try to come up with a security question. Apparently the choices were things like favourite singer/sports team, the person who gave you your first kiss or original hair colour, none of which she felt sure of remembering.

I realise this is beside the point of your post, but your bedspread is adorable! (I'm assuming the material behind the phone is your bedspread).
I like your bedspread too.
Why any phone company would make a flip phone with no outside screen (or one that doesn't display useful information) is totally beyond me. I doubt that's an expensive feature because it's been on my last two phones and I always the free or cheapest phone possible. I'm sure you'll get used to it though.
I hate flip phones with no outside info. But I love flip phones otherwise.
I had this trouble with my bank. Give us a security code for phoning in, they said. I said I could give them an answer, but I refused to just give them a word, because all I'd do is go through my regular stable of security words each time I phoned.
I am curious who doesn't remember their original hair colour, though.
When I opened my bank account, they made me answer three security questions - and the questions all revolved around one's spouse (doesn't apply!) or knowing things about one's parents or GRANDPARENTS that I didn't know (like what high school they went to or in what city they were born). One question was about what college your mom went to - my mom went to two, and I would never be able to recall which one it was.
I like the bedspread too!
oooh, shiny! :)
(And I admired the penguins too...Do I remember that from your birthday post?)
The background is actually the pyjamas I got for my birthday. I'm still waiting for it to be warm enough to wear them, sadly.
Yeah, I was going to comment on the bedspread or sheets.
Pretty phone!
I accidentally call people if I don't have a flip phone by hitting buttons while it's in my pocket or purse. Flip phones are essential.
