I wanted to give Gwen an award the other day, but I felt like it might be weird, since I've just been lurking on her blog. Her fabulously named Super Happy Funtime Blog combines academic blogging, cute and/or disturbing farm stories, weird conversations and other entertaining observations. I'm also happy to catch up on your blog, which I haven't hit in a while (as is true for all other blogs this month). I was particularly happy to see your book posts (which can come twice a year for all I care, so long as you keep reading and reporting on such great stuff). I was wondering about both the Wintersen and the Eggers books. And Steve Almond is here in town this week for a writer's conference...I may get to meet him tonight, in fact.
